We do everything we can to make you feel safe with us and declare that we have taken
all appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your personal data. Your
personal data is encrypted on our servers.

What personal data do we process ?
We process personal data necessary for the performance of our business and related activities, in particular the fulfillment of legal and contractual obligations, the pursuit of legitimate interests in connection with the sending of marketing messages if you are already our
customer. If you are not our customer, we will send you marketing messages
if you give us your separate consent. We also require your consent to the processing of personal data in cases where you apply for a job in our company or in cases where you contact us via an electronic contact web form.
Personal data is processed by our company itself or through intermediaries,
who process our payroll, accounting and tax agenda, provide OHS, fire protection and occupational health services, and IT services. We may also provide personal data
to our parent company based in the Czech Republic.
The provision of personal data is in some cases (except for consents to the processing of personal data) a legal or contractual requirement. You grant your consent to the processing of personal data voluntarily.
Website login and electronic contact form:
If you are a visitor to the website www.matecoslovakia.sk and you contact our company
via the contact form or other contact information on this website, your personal data may be processed to the following extent:
- Name and Surname
- Telephone number
- E-mail address
We process the above personal data based on your consent, which you express
by checking a separate box located just below the web form,
and which is the legal basis for the processing of personal data pursuant to Section 13, Paragraph 1, Letter a)
of the Act. The purpose of the processing of personal data is to handle your requests.
Billing data and data for concluding contracts:
If you are a business partner or an employee of a business partner (e.g.
customers, suppliers, service providers, etc.) of our company, the purpose
of processing your personal data is routine recording in our internal systems
and the use of basic contact details and your job function for the purposes of
communication and resolving work matters and fulfilling obligations arising
from existing contractual relationships and legal obligations, or the performance of activities
related to pre-contractual relationships. The legal basis for such processing of personal data
is the fulfillment of contractual obligations pursuant to Section 13, Paragraph 1, Letter b) of the Act or the fulfillment of legal
obligations pursuant to Section 13, Paragraph 1, Letter c) of the Act.
Your personal data may be processed to the following extent:
- Business name
- Registered office address
- Company ID
- VAT ID
- VAT ID
- Bank name
- Bank account number
- First and last name
- Telephone number
- Email address
Job applicant:
If you are a job applicant in our company, the purpose of processing your
personal data is to assess your qualifications for the job position and, if applicable, to conclude an employment relationship with you. The legal basis for this processing is your free and unambiguous consent.
Marketing:
If you are already our customer to whom we have already provided services and sold goods, on the basis of a legitimate interest, we are entitled to send you marketing messages regarding
our own products and services (so-called direct marketing). The legal basis for
processing personal data is therefore a legitimate interest pursuant to Section 13(1)(f) of the Act.
If you are not yet our customer and wish to receive marketing messages, you can sign up for newsletters on our website. At the same time, you need to
check a separate box to express your consent to the processing of personal data for
the purpose of sending newsletters. The legal basis for the processing of personal data in this
case is Section 13, Paragraph 1, Letter a) of the Act.
The purpose of the processing of personal data in the case of marketing is to inform you about our
current information, promotions and news and products and to improve the quality of the services provided.
Transfer of data to third countries:
The operator does not intend to transfer personal data to a third country (a country outside
the EU) or an international organization.
Security of personal data
In order to protect your personal data with us, we have implemented appropriate technical, security and organizational measures in accordance with the requirements and regulations of applicable legislation. All your personal data in electronic form is stored on secure data servers.
How long do we store your personal data ?
We store your personal data for the period necessary to exercise the rights and obligations
arising from the contractual relationship between us and to assert claims from this contractual
relationship.
Personal data, the retention of which is necessary to fulfill all our obligations
under the legal regulation, must be retained for the period specified in the relevant
legal regulation, regardless of your consent. In the case of tax and accounting
documents, this period is usually 10 years.
In the case of processing personal data obtained on the basis of consent, the length of the
processing period of such data depends on the purpose for which the personal data is processed:
- in the case of marketing activities, the period of processing personal data is 5 years
- in the case of granting consent for the purpose of processing your requests, which you
send to us via the electronic contact form on our website, the
period of processing your personal data is 1 year
- we also process the personal data of job applicants for 1 year. or in other
cases for which you have given us consent, we retain your data until you withdraw
your consent.
What are your other rights in relation to personal data ?
First of all, you have the right to receive clear, transparent and understandable information about how
we use your personal data and what rights you have.
You can ask us to:
- provide a copy of your personal data and other information (e.g. why we process them, who is the recipient, the storage period, the purpose of their processing, etc.)
- correct your personal data
- delete your personal data
- restrict the processing of your personal data
You may also:
- object to the processing of your personal data
- request the portability of your personal data
- lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority in the Member State of the European Economic Area (EEA) in which you live or work, or in which a possible breach of data protection law is alleged to have occurred; in the case of the Slovak Republic, such authority is the Slovak Personal Data Protection Office
- the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on
automated processing, including profiling, which has legal effects concerning you or significantly affects you
- in the case of consent to the processing of personal data, you have the right to withdraw this consent
at any time by sending an e-mail to privacy@matecoslovakia.sk or in writing
by sending it to the company's address: Consent can also be withdrawn by clicking
on the unsubscribe link; located at the bottom of each e-mail newsletter.
The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of personal data before the withdrawal of consent.
